Abstract

The fire was uncontrolled burning process that endangers human health, material assets and the environment. The protection from fire means a set of measures and actions for planning, financing, organization, implementation, control and actions for fire protection, to prevent compaction and spread of fire its detection and fire fighting, rescue people and property, protect the environment, and to identify and eliminate the cause of the fire. One of the most important factors is the resistance of building materials to fire and its protection as not to cause a greater spread of fire, loss of life and substantial property damage. Based on the reaction to fire, building materials are assessed and classified in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1.
