Ion-plasma coatings are widely used to increase the wear resistance of hard alloy metalworking tools. However, plasma coatings are practically not combined with other technological operations and do not improve the physical and mechanical properties of tool working elements. Hardening tools made of hard alloys is one of the promising directions that is created by layered structures on the surface. It provides a gradient distribution of physical and chemical properties between the wear-resistant coating and the base material.References
